Eastern Shore Natural Gas — 2017 Expansion Project
On May 12, 2016, the Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company ("Eastern Shore") began it's the pre-filing review process with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for its 2017 Expansion Project. The proposed project consists of: 1) approximately 33 miles of pipeline looping* in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware; 2) upgrades to certain existing metering facilities in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; 3) installation of an additional compressor unit at Eastern Shore's existing Daleville Compressor Station in Chester County, Pennsylvania; and 4) approximately 17 miles of new pipeline mainline extension and two pressure control stations in Sussex County, Delaware.
* "Looping" refers to pipeline segments that will be constructed, to the greatest extent practicable, immediately adjacent to Eastern Shore's existing pipelines.

Work proposed within Chester County
Parkesburg Loop
Construct approximately 5 miles of 16-inch diameter buried steel pipeline looping beginning at Eastern Shore's existing Parkesburg Meter and Regulator Station southward to Lime Stone Road (PA-1O)c
Jennersville Loop
Construct approximately 7 miles of 24-inch diameter buried steel pipeline looping beginning at Eastern Shore's existing Daleville Compressor Station southward to Hess Mill Road.
Daleville Compressor Station Upgrades
Install a new gas fired compressor unit rated at 3,550hp at the existing Daleville Compressor Station.

Project Activity
Eastern Shore Natural Gas to conduct HDD on 24-hour basis
On October 10, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission granted a request to conduct horizontal directional drilling on a 24-hour basis to bore under the Southern and Amtrak railroad lines for an 850-foot segment. The order indicates that Eastern Shore Natural Gas will be implementing noise and lighting mitigation measures to reduce impacts to neighbors. View the letter from FERC.
FERC issues Commencement of Service Letter for Fair Hill Loop
On June 28, 2018, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued a letter order granting Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company (ESNG) to commence service of the Fair Hill Loop, as part of the 2017 Expansion Project. This letter allows ESNG to place the Fair Hill Loop into service.
FERC Issues Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for the Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company's 2017 Expansion Project
On October 4, 2017, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity for Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company's (ESNG) 2017 Expansion Project. This certificate authorizes ESNG to proceed with construction and operation of the 2017 Expansion Project, as described in this order.
CCPC and CCWRA responses to Draft FERC Environmental Assessment
On June 7, 2017 and June 9, 2017, respectively, the Chester County Planning Commission (CCPC) and Chester County Water Resources Authority (CCWRA) provided their review comments to the FERC Draft Environmental Assessment. Eastern Shore 2017 Expansion Project - Draft FERC EA/EIS Available
On May 12, 2017, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued the Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for comment on the Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company's 2017 Expansion Project. The FERC Docket Number is CP17-28. View the Draft EA/EIS. Comments may be submitted via mail or through the FERC e-file systems, and are due to FERC within 30 days of the posting of this Draft EA (June 11, 2017).
Eastern Shore Natural Gas files with FERC for Certificate of Public Convenience
On January 24, 2017, Chester County received information from Eastern Shore Natural Gas, indicating that they have filed an application with FERC on December 30, 2016, to request a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct, install, own, operate, and maintain the 2017 Expansion Project, which in Chester county includes approximately 12 miles of pipeline as well as upgrades to the Daleville Compressor Station. Eastern Shore has requested FERC approval by May 2017 to begin construction. Updated Docket Number for Eastern Shore Natural Gas 2017 Expansion Project
On January 10, 2017, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a notice that the docket number for the Eastern Shore Natural Gas 2017 Expansion Project has expanded from Docket # PF16-7 to include Docket # CP17-28-000.
